I'm not one to just post a link and not talk about it but this week has been crazy so I'm doing it again.
Here's a story about the exact spot PJ was deployed.
He's not mentioned directly in this short story/news report but he's one of the many lance corporals not mentioned who also went through all of this. This is why he has PTSD

It's okay you can say it. My husband is kind of a bad ass.
and this came from all the guys that served with him on facebook regarding 2/7 in 2008 in general.
"2nd Battalion 7th Marines, the first battalion along with 1/6 of the the United States Marine Corps to re-enter Afghanistan. Dropped in the worst areas imaginable with little or no support these men showed the true meaning of what it means to be a Marine. Despite heavy losses including 20 KIA and over 160 WIA, and hindered by neglect from the highest levels, the men of 2/7 battled impossible odds, and came out on top with one of the most successful campaigns against the Taliban in the history of the Afghan Conflict, killing more Taliban than the entire U.S. Army presence had in the three prior years."
